CONGRESSMAN COSTELLO ANNOUNCES EDA GRANT FOR CITY OF CAIRO

WASHINGTON-- Congressman Costello announced today that the City of Cairo has received a grant for $436,000 from the Economic Development Agency.

"This is good news for the City of Cairo," Costello said. "This money will help revitalize and redevelop the central business district of Cairo."

The money will be used for rehabilitation of the Gem Theater and six other buildings, as well as construction of an outdoor entertainment stage and landscaping. Total cost of the project is $545,000. The grant is overseen by the Department of Commerce.
