TOUCHETTE REGIONAL HOSPITAL RECEIVES $6,972,600 FOR ELDERLY IN CENTREVILLE

WASHINGTON - US Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) has announced that Centreville will receive a Section 202 Elderly Housing grant from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development in the amount of $6,972,600.

"I am pleased that Centreville will receive this grant to continue in their efforts to provide housing to elderly residents," said Costello. "It is important that we ensure independence for senior citizens in our area by providing funds like this to construct housing designed specifically for the elderly."

The funds will be used to construct a 75 unit development for elderly in Centreville. The new project will include a special gardening area, special transportation features for the residents as well as living units.
