SOUTHERN ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY RECEIVES $70,500 FEDERAL GRANT
WASHINGTON - US Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) has announced that the US Department of Health and Human Services has awarded a grant in the amount of $70,500 to Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.
"I am pleased that this grant was awarded to study infant attention and development," said Costello. "Continued research in this area is vital to our understanding of developing infants."
This grant is awarded from the Department of Health and Human Services National Institute of Child Health and Human Development. The award period is from September 2, 2000 through June 30, 2001.
