WASHINGTON-- US Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) has announced that East St. Louis will receive a ROSS (Resident Opportunities and Self Sufficiency Program) Resident Service Delivery Models grant from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development in the amount of $500,000.
"I am pleased that East St. Louis will receive this grant to provide support services for residents," said Costello. "Funds from this grant can be used to help housing residents become economically self-sufficient."
The funds will be used to provide services to 6,800 residents at Compers, John Robinson, John Deshields, Roosevelt, Griffin, Or Weathers, Landsome, Starnes, Emerson, N. Scattered, N.E. Scattered, Norman E. Owens, and S.E. Scattered.
