WASHINGTON-- US Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) has announced the Lessie Bates Davis Neighborhood House received a $453,098 grant from the US Department of Health and Human Services.

"I am pleased that the Lessie Bates Davis House will receive this construction grant to provide further care and well-being of children, families and the elderly in our community," said Costello.

The Lessie Bates Davis Neighborhood House is a collaboration of the Emerson Park Development Corporation and provides services to East St. Louis with a concentration in the Emerson Park neighborhood.
