Washington -- U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that several organizations in the Metro East have received Homeless Assistance grants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The funds will be used for housing and support services for the homeless.
"HUD programs promote self-sufficiency among the less fortunate in our communities," said Costello. "I will continue to support these efforts."
