Waterloo, IL -- On Monday, October 21, 2002 U.S. Representative Jerry Costello (D-IL), along with Waterloo and United States Postal Officials, participated in the grand opening and dedication of the new Waterloo, Illinois Postal Facility. Costello also visited Waterloo Junior High School and presented a flag to the students there.
Costello visited Waterloo Junior High on Monday morning and talked with the 600 students in attendance. He then presented the school with a flag that was flown over the United States Capitol.
Costello then participated in ceremonies dedicating and opening the new Waterloo Postal facility. Costello spoke during the ceremony about the service of Postal workers, in what was a year of turmoil for their operations. Along with Costello, Mayor Emmett Rusteburg and Postal District Manager, Roger Neinaber participated in the ribbon cutting officially opening the facility.
