COSTELLO ANNOUNCES HUD GRANT FOR ST. CLAIR COUNTY

Washington -- U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that St. Clair County has been awarded a $2,158,687 Lead-Based Paint Hazard Control Grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The funds will be used to implement strategies to eliminate lead-based paint hazards in all housing.

"Lead paint is a serious health hazard, especially for children," Costello said. "I will continue to strongly support efforts to remove this risk and improve the quality of life in our communities."
