Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems, located in Marion, has been awarded two contracts by the U.S. Army. The work includes:
· $14,170,410.95 to purchase 124,681 20MM PGU-28/30 A/B cartridges and 305,075 20MM PGU-29 A/B cartridges. The work will be performed in Marion.
· $23,811,300 to purchase 270,000 M919 cartridges for use in the M242 Chain Gun on the Bradley Fighting Vehicle. The work will be performed in Marion and various other locations in the U.S.
"This is important work that supports our troops," said Costello. "I will continue the effort to ensure that sufficient resources are available for our Armed Forces."
