HORSESHOE LAKE FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT RECEIVES FIREFIGHTER GRANT

Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that the Horseshoe Lake Fire Protection has received a $202,500 Assistance to Firefighters grant through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The award will be used to purchase a firefighting vehicle. Costello cosponsored the legislation that created the Assistance to Firefighters program.

"This is an important program that helps protect our communities," said Costello. "I will continue to support this funding for our first responders."
