LEBANON / EMERALD MOUND FIRE DEPARTMENT RECEIVES FIREFIGHTER GRANT

Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that the Lebanon / Emerald Mound Fire Department has received a $35,577 Assistance to Firefighters grant through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.  The funds will be used for operations and firefighter safety.  Costello cosponsored the legislation that created the Assistance to Firefighters program. 

"This award will enhance fire protection services in St. Clair County," said Costello.  "We must retain our focus on public safety, and I will continue to work to ensure that our first responders have the resources they need."
