SOUTHERN SEVEN HEALTH DEPARTMENT RECEIVES HEAD START GRANT

Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that the Southern Seven Health Department, located in Ullin, has been awarded a $1,086,794 Head Start grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.  The money will be used for the full-year, part-day training and technical assistance program. 

"Head Start is one of the most successful federal programs," Costello said.  "Developing a child's ability to learn is a tremendous investment, and I will continue to support these efforts."
