Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that Riverbend Head Start & Family Services, located in Alton, has been awarded a $1,728,398 Head Start grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The money will be used for its Handicapped Training and Technical Assistance Program.
"This funding will help continue a tremendous local program," Costello said. "Early schooling is a key to future success in school and a great investment. I will continue to work to provide sound learning environments for all children."
