Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that Southern Illinois University Carbondale has been awarded a $330,688 grant from the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The funds will be used for research on sleep and fatigue during renal disease in mice.
"SIUC's reputation as a major research university continues to grow," Costello said. "The school is a leader in neurological research and this award underscores that fact."
