CHRISTOPHER RURAL HEALTH PLANNING CORPORATION RECEIVES HHS GRANT

Washington - U.S. Rep. Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that Christopher Rural Health Planning Corporation, located in Christopher, has been awarded a $269,305 Health Center Cluster grant through the Bureau of Primary Health Care of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The funds will be used to expand medical capacity.

"Providing critical health care services can be difficult in rural areas. These funds will increase access to care for residents of Southern Illinois," said Costello. "I will continue to work to ensure that these resources remain available to our communities."
