SOUTHWATER, INC. RECEIVES USDA AWARD

Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that SouthWater, Inc., located in Dongola, has received a $47,700 Water and Waste Disposal direct loan from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Office of Rural Development. The funds will be used to extend wholesale water service to the Village of Karnak.

"Reliable water service greatly improves quality of life," said Costello. "It also is a key factor in promoting economic development. I will continue to work to make these resources available to Southern Illinois."
