Evansville, IL - On Saturday, October 23, 2004, U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) participated in a ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony for the new Evansville Visitor Center located on the Kaskaskia riverfront in Evansville, Illinois.
Costello, along with State Rep. Dan Reitz and Evansville officials, made remarks about the importance of the Center and cut the ribbon to officially open the Visitor Center on Saturday. The Delta Regional Authority awarded a $97,428 grant in 2002 to help convert the former Evansville water plant into a visitor center for the community.
