Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that two fire departments in the Metro East have received Assistance to Firefighters grants through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Both awards will be used for fire operations and firefighter safety. Costello cosponsored the legislation that created the Assistance to Firefighters program.
