CARBONDALE ORGANIZATION RECEIVES HUD GRANT

Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that Carbondale/Mill Street Apartments has been awarded a $180,297 Multifamily Housing Service Coordinator grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).  The funds provide for a service coordinator position to assure that elderly and disabled residents can access the support services needed to allow them to live independently. 

"This funding will improve the quality of life of our most vulnerable citizens," said Costello.  "I strongly support HUD funds, which assist local efforts to enhance public housing."
