Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that the Coulterville Emergency Ambulance Service has received a $18,918 Assistance to Firefighters grant through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The funds will be used for operations and safety. Costello cosponsored the legislation that created the Assistance to Firefighters program.
"Improving the equipment and providing resources for our first responders is one of the most important things we can do to enhance public safety," said Costello. "They put their lives on the line everyday, and their dedication deserves our full support."
