OLIN CORPORATION RECEIVES NAVY CONTRACT

Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that the Olin Corporation, Winchester Ammunition, located in East Alton, has received a $29,000,000 contract from the Navy to produce 5.56mm ammunition, which is used by the Navy and Air Force as training rounds.  The work will be performed in East Alton and is expected to be completed by December 2012.

"I am pleased that area employees will perform this work," said Costello.  "These contracts are vital to our national security as well as the regional economy and provide the best possible equipment for our servicemen and women."
