COSTELLO ANNOUNCES USDA AWARD FOR THE MIDWAY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT

Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that the Midway Fire Protection District, which is based in East St. Louis, has received a $50,000 Community Facility grant through the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Office of Rural Development. The funds will be used to purchase a 1,000 gallon pumper truck.

"Providing funding for emergency services equipment greatly improves the quality of life of people in our area," said Costello. "I will continue to work to ensure that these resources are available to our communities."
