Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that he secured funding for several projects in the 12th Congressional District as part of the final version of the Labor/HHS/Education and Military Construction/Veterans' Administration Appropriations bills for fiscal year 2008. The combined legislation passed the House of Representatives late yesterday and will soon be considered by the Senate.
Projects include:
"Scott is growing, and this funding will help make sure its facilities keep pace as new missions arrive," said Costello. "The River Research Center is conducting research that has regional, national and international significance. It is a collaborative effort that will be a magnet for other researchers and students from around the world."
