Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that the Southern Seven Health Department, located in Ullin, has been awarded a $2,695,254 Head Start grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The money will be used for its Head Start program.
“I have consistently supported funding for early education programs,” said Costello. “Learning to read and write is the foundation of a good education. Head Start has been extremely successful in equipping our students for the future.”
