Audience Quizzes Relaxed Costello In Town Hall
QUESTIONS FROM ALL OVER, ABOUT ALMOST EVERYTHING – Members of a prepared audience, holding cards or slips of paper with questions for their congressman, lined up Monday night (Aug. 7, 2017) at a town hall meeting inside the Pottstown High School auditorium to ask PA 6th District U.S. Rep. Ryan Costello (at top) for his opinions and feedback on a wide variety of topics involving the House, Senate, and presidency in Washington. Costello, seemingly relaxed and at ease (below), talked about the state of health care coverage, public education, political re-districting, the government budget and spending priorities, Internet neutrality, President Donald Trump’s Twitter commentaries, and several other issues. Many of his answers were applauded by the roughly 150 people in attendance; at least one, regarding drilling and mining in national parks, attracted some boos; and a small group of protesters, opposed to Costello’s vote on a clean air bill, assembled outside the high school as the meeting began. The event was recorded by PCTV and is expected to be re-broadcast.
