Dent, Costello relish assignments
U.S. Rep. Charlie Dent will continue to lead the influential subcommittee that oversees spending on military construction and services for veterans.
The Allentown Republican, who represents part of Berks County, has been named to a second term as chairman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee for Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies.
"I am encouraged by the bipartisan progress that has been made in these areas throughout my past two years as chairman, but there is certainly more that must be done," Dent said in a press release. "I appreciate the responsibility to advocate for our troops and veterans."
U.S. Rep. Ryan Costello, a Chester County Republican who represents part of Berks, has been named to a post on the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
"The work of the committee focuses on policies that can positively impact the jobs and quality of life for residents in the communities I represent, including innovation in health care, the life sciences and clean energy," Costello said in a press release. "I look forward to the important work ahead."
