Congressman Ryan Costello has added his voice to a rising chorus of conservative leaders calling for restricting Syrian refugees’ access to the U.S.
Costello, a Chester County Republican whose 6th Congressional District includes parts of Lebanon County, led an hour-long Special Order session in the House of Representatives Monday night condemning the recent terrorist attacks in Paris and elsewhere by the radical Islamic jihadist organization, ISIS. A Special Order allows representatives to give speeches on any topic that are recorded into the Congressional Record after the close of business on the House floor.
In light of the report that a Syrian militant used refugee status to carry out the terrorist attacks in Paris, Costello released the following statement regarding the U.S. accepting Syrian refugees:
