Costello Statement on the Iran Nuclear Deal

“This is a horrible deal.”
Washington, DC – Congressman Ryan Costello (PA-06) issued the following statement after voting in opposition to the Iran nuclear agreement:
“This is a horrible deal. It does not prevent a nuclear Iran, rather it allows Iran to self-inspect, it authorizes their right to trade arms and attain intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) in the near future, and it provides funds for them to spread more terror even sooner.”
On Friday, the House of Representatives voted to reject the Iran nuclear agreement by a vote of 162-269. Additionally, the House approved a measure the suspend the President’s authority to provide relief on sanctions by a vote of 247-186. Both measures now advance to the Senate for consideration.
