REP. COSTELLO ANNOUNCES PARTICIPATION IN CONGRESSIONAL APP CHALLENGE FOR STUDENTS
West Chester, PA – Rep. Ryan Costello (PA-06), a member of the Congressional STEM Caucus and 21st Century Skills Caucus, today announced his office would participate in the 2017 Congressional App Challenge. The Challenge is an opportunity for high school students to learn more about the importance of innovation in coding, science, technology, engineering, and math.
Rep. Costello has participated each year since coming to Congress in 2015.
“I’m pleased to participate in the Congressional App Challenge again this year, and I encourage students in our community to explore their interest in computer science and utilize their creativity skills,” said Rep. Costello.
Students in Pennsylvania’s Sixth Congressional District who would like to participate will need to develop an original app and submit it to the Challenge for judging no later than November 1, 2017. Apps must have been created within the calendar year prior to the closing date.
